Bali Sunfish Diving Trips - Mola Mola Bali

Bali Sunfish, or Mola Mola, are some of Earth's most fascinating underwater creatures. The Bali Sunfish inhabit the dives sites of Bali all year round. However, the most common time of year to see the Bali Sunfish is from July until November.

Bali Sunfish Dive Sites

The most reliabe place to see the Bali Sunfish is at Nusa Lembongan and Nusa Penida. There are a few sites where the Sunfish congregate in large numbers although they can be seen at most of the dive sites around Nusa Penida. it is not unusual to have 10 to 15 large Sunfish staring at you during a dive although it is much more common for smaller numbers of Sunfish.

With all marine life timing, positioning and how you interact with the marine life is critical to having a wonderful experience. Our dive guides will focus on giving you the best chance of taking that elusive photo of the Sunfish or just get you close enough to feel part of it's environment.

Bali Sunfish Dive Safari's

Our Bali Sunfish dive safari's depart daily during the Bali Sunfish Season. Our dive vessels visit Bali's best dive spots in order to maximize the chance of sighting the Mola Mola. In order to give yourself the best chance to see the Bali Sunfish, it is recommended that you spend at least three days in search of the Sunfish. This will allow you plenty of time to get some really good interactions.

We also offer daily Bali dive trips to see the Sunfish. Our three (3) dive daily trips include all hotel transfers, lunch, bottled water, tea and coffee aboard Bali Ocean II, tanks, weights and belts, guided by our expert Divemasters, and diver insurance.

The conditions during the Bali Sunfish Season tend to be cold water ranging from 18 - 25 degrees. Make sure you have enough exposure protection which includes a hood and gloves. Blue Season Bali rents these items if you require.
